(Republican Party News) – Chris Brown, the Sheriff of Cleburne County, Arkansas, is now one of two sheriffs in the state who has decided that he will not comply with Joe Biden’s federal vaccine mandate, calling it “dictator-like” and then stated it’s also unconstitutional.
According to BizPacReview, Biden recently decreed that all federal employees and contractors must be vaccinated against the coronavirus. He then went on to announce another mandate for folks who have more than 100 employees working for their business, stating they either have to get the vaccine or take a weekly test. Refusal to abide by this decree is a $14,000 violation.
Sheriff Brown wrote up a letter and posted it on Facebook that explains why he’s not going to comply with the federal mandate.
“Since March of 2020, we have seen much controversy over COVID, mandates, restrictions, lockdowns, vaccines, and a number of other things. We have watched as this topic has divided families, friends, and coworkers. We have seen an unprecedented amount of division, hate, and contention among Americans. With the rollout of the COVID vaccines, that division has become more and more widened, and the vitriol more intense between those who believe in the vaccines, those who don’t, and those who are undecided,” Brown said on the letter posted to Facebook (screen shot here).
“As law enforcement officers, our first duty and what we swear an oath to, is to support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Arkansas. It is in that defense and the defense of individual liberty that the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office has not, and will not mandate the COVID vaccine for any of our employees. Just like with the flu shot, their choice to get vaccinated or not is theirs and theirs alone, and we respect their decisions,” he went on to say.
“I am not pro-vaccine, and I am not anti-vaccine. I am pro-freedom, and I am for each person’s ability and responsibility to decide for themselves (in conjunction with their doctor) whether or not to get the vaccine,” the sheriff proclaimed.
“I am appalled at some of the absolute dictator-like things we are seeing from the Federal Government, and several of the State Governments. It is absolute tyranny, and completely abhorrent. It flies in the face of everything our country has always stood for, and is only furthering the damage and division done to the people of this wonderful nation,” Brown then stated.
“CS Lewis said this: ‘Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience,’” Brown said.
“It’s time for our politicians and other public servants to stand up and remember that their first responsibility is to protect people’s rights, not to run their lives,” the sheriff concluded.
Brown isn’t the only sheriff who posted a letter about not complying with the federal mandate. Faulkner County Sheriff Tim Ryals also put up a letter on Facebook (screen shot here) that explained his own reasoning for not enforcing the mandate.
“This is truly an attempt of tyranny with such an overreach of authority,” he wrote, slamming Biden’s commands.
Ryals is also a member of the Constitutional Sheriff and Peace Officers Association. He says that the choice to be vaccinated is up to each person on an individual basis, or that of a private business.
He then went on to urge every deputy and citizen to read our Constitution and the Bill of Rights in order to learn what rights they actually have as Americans.
Texas Brazoria County Sheriff Bo Stallman is also standing against Biden’s edict, posting a letter of his own on Facebook (screen shot here).
“As a protector and defender of your individual liberties, I want you to know that you will not be required by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office to adhere to any vaccine mandate or any other mandate that would attempt to infringe on your individual liberties and freedoms,” the sheriff stated in his letter. “I want to be clear, this is not taking a stance towards support or opposition of the vaccine. Rather a firm assurance that your freedoms and rights will be defended on my watch.”
“Today, we have a domestic enemy: The potential of a tyrannical, overreaching government that threatens to violate the constitutional rights of our citizens,” Stallman went on to proclaim.
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem also replied to Biden’s mandates on Twitter, writing, “see you in court.”
South Dakota will stand up to defend freedom. @JoeBiden see you in court.

It’s not only sheriffs fighting this nonsense. Many state governors are going to be battling it too.
Rest assured, we will fight them to the gates of hell to protect the liberty and livelihood of every South Carolinian.

President Biden has made small business an enemy of his administration. Forcing main street to vax or pay a fine will not only crush an economy he's put on life support—it's flat-out un-American.
To Joe Biden, force is more important than freedom. Americans won't stand for it.

The President has no authority to require that Americans inject themselves because of their employment at a private business. The vaccine itself is life-saving, but this unconstitutional move is terrifying. This is still America, and we still believe in freedom from tyrants.
